CSVtoSheets
I built my first macOS app to automatically open csv, xls files in Google Sheets. I work as marketing, revops person and often have to combine data from different platforms for reporting purposes. Google made the import flow super broken with too many clicks in between. So I built a simple solution that saves me some time. Sharing it here, you can test it out for free. No subscription bullshit, one time payment to get unlimited usage if you like it. Happy double clicking!

What it does
"File → Import → Upload → Browse → Configure → Wait. Sound familiar? CSVtoSheets eliminates this entire process. Double-click any CSV, XLS, or XLSX and it opens in Google Sheets instantly. 95% faster than manual imports. Native Mac app, one-time purchase, your data never touches our servers.
Double-click any CSV, XLS, or XLSX file to instantly open it in Google Sheets. One-time purchase, lifetime access. Mac app.
Stop wasting 3 minutes on every CSV import. Just double-click—done. It's kept in the Apple Keychain, encrypted and on your Mac only. Drop a CSV, XLS, or XLSX file — it becomes a Google Sheet instantly. We use Google's most restrictive Drive permission ( drive.file ). Every capability on the consent screen applies only to “these files” — the sheets the app makes for you or files you choose to open with it. Your files never touch our servers. CSVtoSheets runs locally on your Mac and sends data directly to Google Sheets. Your Google sign-in is kept in the Apple Keychain on your Mac — encrypted and never on our servers. We can’t see or store your spreadsheets or your credentials. No.…from csvtosheets.com

OpenSheetFeb 2026 · opensheet.app · ▲86Hi folks. I've been doing some experiments on how LLMs could get more handy in the day to day of working with files (CSV, Parquet, etc). Earlier last year, I built https://datakit.page and evolved it over and over into an all in-browser experience with help of duckdb-wasm. Got loads of feedbacks and I think it turned into a good shape with being an adhoc local data studio, but I kept hearing two main things/issues: Why can't the AI also change cells in the file we give to it? Why can't we modify this grid ourselves? So besides the whole READ and text-to-SQL flows, what seemed…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
