Go seemed to be lacking a logging abstraction like slf4j, which has been so invaluable to the Java ecosystem. Without that abstraction layer, the APIs for configuring logging vary wildly across projects, and libraries must either add a dependency on one of those frameworks or simply avoid structured logging altogether. Dazl is a logging abstraction layer that decouples the logging API from specific Go logging libraries, providing a pluggable logging backend with support for popular frameworks like zap and zerolog. Add logging to your Go library without forcing a particular logging dependency on your users. Use dazl to make logging configurable (via YAML) in your Go application. Dazl is designed to make logging easier for Go developers and their users by providing a unified interface to establish consistency across Go libraries and logging frameworks. Dazl was originally developed in open source at the Open Networking Foundation but remained somewhat hidden away within the subdirectories of an obscure repo. My team has since moved to Intel where this project is still in use in today. I’m sharing it now in the hopes Go developers will get the same value from it we have.

Hey all, I just wanted to share a project I've been working on for the past month. After years of heavy frameworks, I really like the idea of using htmx, but it’s a little too low level for me and needs a thin layer above it to facilitate things like components, better syntax with complex JS inside of an attribute, etc To try and solve this problem with a very minimal stack (golang + htmx) that I've been really enjoying, I'm building this project to cater to my needs and was thinking it would be useful for other developers.

I spent the past 2 weeks making this toy programming language. I basically forked the Go scanner/parser, and changed the syntax to have functions return a single value. This enable proper Result/Option type to be used as well as propagating errors with an operator. I also wanted to have short "type inferred" anonymous functions to be able to use functions like Map/Reduce/Filter, without having to use 100 characters to specify the types.

I have been using golang at work and personally for more than 2 years now. A problem i faced when I started and the problem new gophers even today is how to structure the project. Most (if not all) golang tutorials seem to be very simple and do not describe how to structure a large application.
