What it does

DeepSeek-V4 is a preview series of open Mixture-of-Experts LLMs: V4‑Pro (1.6T params, 49B active) and V4‑Flash (284B, 13B active), both with 1M-token context. New hybrid attention (CSA+HCA) cuts long-context compute and KV cache, plus mHC connections and the Muon optimizer for stability. Trained on 32T+ tokens and post-trained with expert specialization + consolidation.

We present a preview version of DeepSeek-V4 series, including two strong Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) language models — DeepSeek-V4-Pro with 1.6T parameters (49B activated) and DeepSeek-V4-Flash with 284B parameters (13B activated) — both supporting a context length of one million tokens . We pre-train both models on more than 32T diverse and high-quality tokens, followed by a comprehensive post-training pipeline.
