DocAsker – Use LLMs to ask documentation questions
We've built this over the last few weeks to leverage vector search and LLMs (this is backed by GPT-3.5, though we're also testing Flan-T5) to answer question over large sets of documents with references. Currently, we've ingested the documentation for React and some key adjacent libraries (Redux, React-Redux, React-Router, MUI). This allows you to ask various natural language questions and the output is hopefully a relevant answer with code examples if applicable, while sourcing the original docs whenever possible. We're working on adding up more documentations and have more "general"…

In plain words
DocAsker uses vector search and large language models to answer questions about software documentation through natural language queries. It currently indexes React and related libraries including Redux, React-Redux, React-Router, and MUI, returning answers with code examples and links to original documentation sources. The tool is built on GPT-3.5 with alternative models being tested, and the creators are expanding coverage to additional libraries and custom documentation sets.

A React and Next.js UI Toolkit for LLMs2024 · github.com · ▲24Hey HN, I wanted to share a UI toolkit project I’ve been working on recently, born out of how difficult I found it to build a great UX on top of LLMs, and keep application state in sync. I’ve built: - A React/JS front-end library for conversational interfaces, which makes it super easy to bootstrap AI assistants and ChatGPT style UX: https://github.com/nlkitai/nlux - A set of adapters that simplify integration with AI backends such as LangServe and HuggingFace The library is highly configurable, easy to theme, supports markdown streaming (that was tough to get…
- IGI generated API documentation for all Java packages2024 · docland.io · ▲74
Hi HN! I'm excited to share a project I've been working on for the past year: Docland. It is an API documentation browser that generates documentation on demand (through compilation, not LLMs) for Java packages. Instead of relying on Javadoc, the built-in doc generator, I created the engine from scratch to give the documentations a modern look, build fast search indexes, and enable link resolution to other packages. I built Docland because I constantly found it frustrating to locate and view API definitions when programming. You'd have to Google the function/class name, skip all the SEO…

Hello fellow hackers, we made a site that gets GPT to answer your question using the info on a webpage you specify or document you upload (e.g., a large textbook .pdf file). Background: When ChatGPT came out, I had the idea of having it pull answers from my stereo receiver's annoyingly dense 32 page manual. My weekend project prototype proceeded to surprise with great answers—just like what we've all experienced by now. My co-founder thought we should productize it, and make it easy to use online. So here we are with a very early beta! (Try it on a HN thread...)

This works suprisingly well. Just give it instructions like "make it winter" or "remove the cars" and the photo is altered. Here are some examples of transformations it can make: Golden gate bridge: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brycedrennan/imaginAIry/ma... I integrated this new InstructPix2Pix model into imaginAIry (python library) so it's easy to use for python developers.

The project is called QueryStorm. It uses Roslyn to offer C# (and VB.NET) support in Excel, as an alternative to VBA. I've posted about it before, but a lot has changed since then so figured I'd share an update. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository). The AppStore can be used by anyone with the (free) runtime component. Another great addition is the community license, which is a free license for individuals and small companies…

Hey HN! Some more info: I’m an NHS doctor and the founder of Pi-A (https://www.pi-a.io) which developed Lungy (https://www.lungy.app). Lungy is an app (iOS only for now) that responds to breathing in real-time and was designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and beneficial to do. It hopefully has many aspects of interest to the HN community – real-time fluid, cloth and soft body sims running on the phone’s GPU. My background is as a junior surgical trainee and I started building Lungy in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in London. During COVID, there were…
