What it does
DrillDown Prep helps students prepare for selective school admissions and standardized reasoning tests with focused printable practice. Instead of working through another mixed paper, students can choose a specific question type — such as fractions, ratios, algebra, probability, number sequences, charts, geometry, or verbal reasoning — and practise that skill until it feels comfortable.
Explore focused printable practice, try free sample questions, and find the skills you want to strengthen. Pick a topic to explore question types, worked examples, and free sample PDFs. Give this number sequence a go. Then explore more questions and worked examples. The gaps grow by 1 each time: +3, +4, +5, +6. Add 7 to 22 to get 29. Take a look at a question, then explore examples and free samples for that skill. Find area and perimeter by splitting compound shapes into rectangles. Find percentages of amounts using fractions, 10% shortcuts, and scaling. Spot difference patterns, interleaved sequences, and previous-term rules. Focus on one question type at a time with printable practice and…from drilldownprep.com

Prepform – AI and spaced-repetition to optimize learning2022 · prepform.com · ▲50Hi, I'm Eric and I'm the founder and lead developer of Prepform. A high-quality education helped me pursue my interests and achieve my goals. I started Prepform so students of all backgrounds have access to the same kind of education. I grew up in Southern California, surrounded by dozens of SAT prep programs, and I swear I must have gone to all of them. Different programs followed different styles and techniques, but the strategy they shared was to create a study plan and review mistakes. A study plan is taking a diagnostic test, setting a target score, creating a study schedule,…

Clipto MCP▲655Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
