Hey everyone! Last weekend I participated in a Startup Weekend (Paris, France) with a friend where we pitched a simple idea. We wanted to create a cross platform application with the easiest file-sharing experience. Drag and drop the files on the avatar of the person you want to send them to. and voila, the files are sent. During the weekend I posted on HN to get some feedback on our project and was happy to see we got some awesome feedback ( http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3780777 ). The testing page ( http://dl.dropbox.com/u/149780/Dropsend%20beta.jpg ) got more than 1200 Unique Visitors in 8h with a CTR of 21% ! By the end of the weekend we had a working prototype that was able to send files both locally and through the web. Since we were just there to have fun and took SW more like a hackathon, we were really surprised when we were announced as the Winners of the weekend ( Ze winning pitch deck: http://speakerdeck.com/u/dropdock/p/dropdock-startup-weekend-winning-pitch ) After a lot of thinking, we decided to take the projet further and really launch the service, thus creating Dopdock! We are currently refactoring the code, redesigning the prototype and adding some features ( Encrypted transfers, Send to non Dropdock users, etc ). The plan is to launch Dropdock by the end of April. That's where you come in, we need tech oriented / startup enthusiasts to give us feedback on our beta because we think you guys will be the ones benefiting the most from our service. Hi guys, I've created an open source web builder framework (https://grapesjs.com) years ago, which I'm still maintaining, and now I'm excited to publish a side project based on it, Grapedrop (https://grapedrop.com). It's a simple web page builder which allows you to design and publish your web pages very quickly. The project is still in beta with a lot of stuff to improve but I'd really like to share it and hear what people think about it and maybe also get some constructive feedback.

I made a simple site that allows you to upload files. It requires no sign up and 100% free. The biggest advantage is that it returns you the direct URL to your file. So you can use it to store images for MD-based forum posts. Or put in your site's . I use the Cloudflare R2 storage which offers zero egress fees. So I pay $0 of transfer costs. I added a simple anti-nsfw files check and a simple anti-malware check. Please do not try to break it. Thanks! (>‿◠)

Hello HN. This is a project me and some friends built at university in 2017. It was originally built in a rush, but we've added a few improvements over the years. It's a fun game to host at a demoparty and project on a big screen - We did that at Instanssi many times. The implementation is still rough, and suffers from the fast pace of the modern web - The frontend is likely very outdated, and the backend is built with Vapor 2 and Swift 3.1, both no longer supported.
