What it does

emPOWERED is a tech-enabled fashion company that holds the utility patent on adding charging capabilities to fashion accessories. We collaborate with and license our technology to other notable brands. Our story began when our founder, Loni Edwards, was inspired by a desire to create the ideal solution to the perpetual problem for the woman on the go--the dead cell phone. With a degree from Harvard Law School and a lifelong love of fashion, she immersed herself in the NYC Garment District and began inventing.
