AI antique research in your pocket
EstateHounder.com launched on April 13, 2026.
What it does
Ever picked up something at an estate sale and wondered if it's worth anything? EstateHounder identifies antiques, collectibles, and heirlooms from a photo — giving you the maker, era, story, and realistic resale value before you buy. Built for estate sale shoppers, flippers, and anyone who loves the hunt
AI-powered antique and collectible research tool for estate sale shoppers.
Snap a photo of any antique, collectible, or heirloom at an estate sale. Get the maker, the era, the story — and exactly what it's worth. Point your camera at anything — a dusty vase, a signed painting, a piece of jewelry. Any angle helps. Our AI identifies the maker, era, and style — with the item's story and a realistic value range. Enter the asking price, apply any discount, see your total with tax. Add it to your shopping list. Maker, era, origin, and category — identified from a single photo. Based on secondary market sales, not retail. Know what it's actually worth. Enter the asking price, apply discounts, see your total with local tax included. Add items as you go. Track your running…from estatehounder.com

We're a small team of 3 engineers, and wanted to make a better way to look for for properties online. Traditional portals (esp. outside of US) are just a bit rubbish for doing anything other than basic searching. So we've: - Created a crawler that reads through estate agents websites to find homes for sale - Parses that through a series of LLMs and other models to understand each home in depth (e.g. floor type, location, total sqft) - Parses every photo through an embeddings vector space so that people can search for whatever they want. With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
