Expeditione
The Interactive 3D Encyclopedia
What it does
Created by a single person, Expeditione is an Interactive 3D Encyclopedia built to make learning fun and memorable. Instead of simply reading about a subject, you can enter handcrafted, explorable worlds and discover them through interaction. It runs directly in the browser, with no login, ads, or tracking, and is optimized to stay remarkably lightweight. The first three expeditions are free forever, with free educator resources for classroom use.
Explore handcrafted interactive 3D expeditions across science, history, and nature. Take immersive virtual field trips and explore 3D virtual museums with instant access from any device. The first 3 expeditions (Soil Layers, Ancient Egypt, Cell Biology) are 100% free forever. No ads, no logins.
I see you have JavaScript disabled. As a privacy-first developer, I respect that. Curiosity built the world, but somewhere along the way, we forgot to feel it. Expeditione brings it back. One journey at a time. Expeditione offers immersive learning and interactive 3D exploration for curious minds. Journey beneath the surface through five ancient layers. Discover the hidden world that sustains all life on Earth. Step inside domestic homes, study heavy Nile cargo vessels. Visit towering temples and ancient pyramids, all with a sassy cat as your guide. Step into the microscopic machinery of life. Explore the complex inner workings of a living cell. You joined ... Explorers in charting the…from expeditione.fun

- NINow I Get It – Translate scientific papers into interactive webpagesFeb 2026 · nowigetit.us · ▲305
Understanding scientific articles can be tough, even in your own field. Trying to comprehend articles from others? Good luck. Enter, Now I Get It! I made this app for curious people. Simply upload an article and after a few minutes you'll have an interactive web page showcasing the highlights. Generated pages are stored in the cloud and can be viewed from a gallery. Now I Get It! uses the best LLMs out there, which means the app will improve as AI improves. Free for now - it's capped at 20 articles per day so I don't burn cash. A few things I (and maybe you will) find interesting: * This is…

Features include: - Several preset periodic orbits: the classic Figure-8, plus newly discovered 3D solutions from Li and Liao's recent database of 10,000+ orbits (https://arxiv.org/html/2508.08568v1) - Full 3D camera controls (rotate/pan/zoom) with body-following mode - Force and velocity vector visualization - Timeline scrubbing to explore the full orbital period The 3D presets are particularly interesting. Try "O₂(1.2)" or "Piano O₆(0.6)" from the Load Presets menu to see configurations where bodies weave in and out of the orbital plane. Most browser…

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
