FateSpin
Let Fate Decide
What it does
FateSpin is a free spinning decision wheel. Type your options, spin, and let fate decide — for picking restaurants, classroom names, games, or any group decision. No sign-up, no app, works on any device.
FateSpin turns any list into a fair, random pick. Type in your options, give the wheel a spin, and a brass pointer settles on your answer — the same way a carnival prize wheel or a raffle drum works, just without leaving your browser tab. Edit the list on the right. Add as many entries as you need, and the wheel redraws itself instantly. The wheel accelerates, ticks past each slice, and eases to a stop — every option has an equal shot at landing under the pointer. A winner ticket pops up with the result. Spin again, remove that option, or move on with your pick. Copy the link to send your exact wheel to a group — friends, students, or teammates can spin it too, no account required. - SAStrikethrough – a daily puzzle where you make words by deleting lettersOct 2025 · puzzle-brothers.boondoggle.studio · ▲6
Hi HN - I’m a copywriter by trade who loves word games. A while back I wondered: what if you flipped the idea of Scrabble on its head? Instead of building words, start with a long one and carve away letters to find the smaller words hidden inside. I made a quick prototype, then my brother helped turn it into a real game. Play Strikethrough: https://puzzle-brothers.boondoggle.studio/puzzles/strikethro... How it works - You get a seed word (e.g., LONGBOARD). - Delete letters from it to make valid words: LONG, BOARD, LORD, BARD, etc. - Find 10 words to beat the day’s puzzle,…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
