FileNest Worktools
Batch rename, OCR, PDF and image tools that stay local
What it does
FileNest Worktools brings repetitive file tasks into one browser workspace: batch renaming, local image OCR, image conversion and resizing, PDF workflows, CSV/JSON conversion, document creation and duplicate detection. Current browser-local tools process file contents on your device, with previews and clear output details before download.
Batch rename files, extract text with high-accuracy or local OCR, create Word/PDF documents, resize images, merge PDFs, convert CSV/JSON and find duplicates. Most work stays in-browser; cloud OCR is clearly disclosed.
Batch rename, extract image text, create documents from text, enhance images, merge PDFs, convert data and detect duplicates. Most file work stays in your browser; High Accuracy OCR clearly discloses transient cloud processing before it runs. Search for the job you need or filter by file type. Every card opens a working tool; if the job spans several tools, start from the finished outcome in Workflows. Drop in a folder's worth of files, combine prefix, suffix, text replacement and numbering rules, then review every old-to-new name before download. Start at any number, count by any increment, place numbers before or after the name, and drag files into the exact order you need. When the…from filenest-pages.pages.dev

I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
