FindTori
Stop Overthinking
FindTori launched on September 7, 2025 with 6 votes, #3,803 of 9,306 launches that month.
What it does
I used to overthink everything. ChatGPT helped a little, but it never asked for context. So I built FindTori, an AI that actually understands your situation and simulates what’s most likely to happen next so you can move over with some clarity.

Current AI chat assistants face a fundamental challenge: context management in long conversations. While current LLM apps use multiple separate conversations to bypass context limits, a truly human-like AI assistant should maintain a single, coherent conversation thread, making efficient context management critical. Although modern LLMs have longer contexts, they still suffer from the long-context problem (e.g. context rot problem) - reasoning ability decreases as context grows longer. Memory-based systems have been invented to alleviate the context rot problem, however, memory-based…

Hello there! I hope you're doing well today! I wanted to share something with you. Recently I was on the hunt for the best way to journal daily. Well, I had this idea - what if I could feed all my daily entries to an AI (ChatGPT), and create a friendly, supportive character like Socrates or Simon Sinek? This way, I could ask any questions about my life and mental health, and get some amazing advice on how to improve myself! The results have been absolutely mind-blowing ! I even made a short GIF to show you how it works - check it out! - https://gifyu.com/image/SdHLH I've…

Hi HN, My name is Othmane and I’ve been in the ML field (building and shipping models) for the last ~5years. Today, as many people out there, I come across new AI tools every week. However I was a bit surprised to see little to no mention of established AI vendors that existed before chatGPT and how most use cases are heavily biased toward content generation (text/image) or conversational AI (chatbots). I built a tool that helps you find the right AI solution/provider based on your use case. It uses a curated database of 100+ solutions from established vendors. It covers things…

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
