FinTech Lite

Private finance tools. No login. No bank linking.

FinTech Lite launched on December 21, 2025 with 1 votes.

What it does

Most finance apps demand your bank logins and a share of your data. FinTech Lite is the antidote. It's a suite of three privacy-first financial tools (Debt Destroyer, Freelancer Tracker, Subscription Auditor) that run 100% in your browser. We use Local Storage to save your progress, so your financial data never touches our servers. No sign-up. No bank linking. Just simple, powerful math to help you visualise your money in private. (Mathematical models for illustration only, not financial advice)

Free financial tools for non-techies. Use our Debt Snowball Calculator, Freelance Tracker, and Subscription Auditor. No login, no bank linking, 100% privacy safe.

Tired of apps that demand your bank login? Get clarity without the hassle. Our free financial calculators help you visualize money without spying. Easy money management tools for non-techies to visualize 'spend and save'. A simple debt free date calculator . Compare the Snowball vs. Avalanche method instantly without an app. A private freelance budget tracker . Track irregular income and calculate tax estimates on the fly. Find your "Monthly Burn." An audit recurring payments tool to help you spot subscription creep. We built FinTech Lite because we wanted tools that empower, not track, your every move. Our tools run 100% in your browser. I've been using this daily for 4 months and figured others might find it useful. This is my first open source project so would love any feedback. Ray connects to your bank via Plaid, stores everything in an encrypted local SQLite database, and lets you ask questions about your finances in natural language. No cloud, no account, your data is stored on your machine. Before anything reaches the LLM, all PII is stripped — your name, companies, transaction details are redacted and replaced with tokens, then rehydrated locally in the response. The AI never sees who you are.

Hey HN People, I know it's 2025, and you might be wondering why there's a need for a personal finance web app. I'd like to share my story and why I created lit.Money. During COVID, I started actively managing my finances, primarily optimizing for FIRE and monitoring my progress. There are apps in India, but I didn't like their UI. I don't like to exchange messages or call with accountant for bank details or transaction queries. I also wanted a simple way to view my partner's and family's finances in one place. I considered Copilot, but it wasn't available in India. While there are 1 or 2…

Hi HN, I built Whisper Money because I was frustrated that every personal finance app wanted full access to my bank credentials, fed my transactions into AI systems, or sold my spending data to third parties. Whisper Money takes a different approach: - *No bank credential sharing* - Import your transactions via CSV/XLS exports from your bank. No Plaid, no OAuth to your bank, no third-party integrations that can get breached. - *No AI snooping* - Your transactions are never fed into AI systems you don't control. - *No third-party data sharing* - Your financial data is never shared with…

    I made a simple personal finance API (like Yodlee)2010 · finkin.com. · ▲12

It's at http://finkin.com. The goal is to allow a developer to sign up in seconds, and within minutes begin querying data. It runs under https and stores no access information. From http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1431583, I realized that all those types of sites are not tailored to developers like the other simple APIs around the web are (i.e. flickr). I made mine as simple as I thought possible. From http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1676458, I realized that eventually it should be a scalable model where you pay pennies per the # of requests you make. Right now it supports many…

  • Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
