    I spent 6 years making a cool free game2015 · ▲151

Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I've just reached beta in my game BoxByte Lyte. -What is it- It's a free 3d arcade game for hardcore players that uses color matching in interesting ways. Also it's a one button game, well movement and one button. Cool huh? The final release will be free too. -What I need- This is a very challenging game, so I really need to balance the difficulty so that it's still hard but not impossible. It would be great just to hear your experiences of the game and how far in it you got. -Where can I report bugs?-…

    Hyve Tile, a puzzle game but I can't solve it2024 · yunusefendi52.itch.io · ▲22

I created a puzzle game after some recent years of hiatus from game development. It was a puzzle game where you have to assemble a randomized tiles. You can view the preview using eye icon on the top right side. You also can undo your previous step. I created this game using Unity because I am already familiar with it. If you encounter the tiles is not randomized, please try recreate the tile again, I don't exactly know why it's happenning. Thank you

    Sprigman – Pac-Man Recreated in a Limited Tile Based JavaScript Engine2025 · sprig.hackclub.com · ▲20

Sprig is a tile based game engine made by Hack Club that's like Scratch's older brother but has it's own set of unique limitations. All sprites need to be made in Bitmap and uses a midi like event sequencer to get any music into it, since it's meant for a different set of hardware, you can only use very basic controls too. I made a version of PacMan inside it that has randomly generated mazes every time and mostly works well!

Hey folks. Last year I was fortunate enough to sign a deal to write a book with my favorite technical publisher, The Pragmatic Bookshelf. When I started out as an Engineering Manager many years ago, I found that there wasn't a huge amount of material that specifically and practically helped me understand how to do my job. When you learn to program there's all of these amazing tutorials, examples and guides, but what was there for new managers? In response to this, a couple of years ago I started a blog over at https://www.theengineeringmanager.com which got a decent amount of…
