FlexifyDine — Smart Restaurant Management Made Simple
What it does
FlexifyDine is cloud restaurant management and POS software by Flexify — dine-in, takeaway, delivery, QR menus, kitchen display and inventory in one platform.
FlexifyDine is the cloud restaurant platform we build and run in-house. A POS for dine-in, takeaway and delivery, QR-code menus, a kitchen display, live inventory and reporting — all talking to each other in real time, so the till and the kitchen never disagree. Daily takings, sales trend and a live order rail, updating as service runs. Taking a dine-in order — menu grid, running total, and KOT or bill in one action. - RPRestaurant POS system built completely on iOS2011 · ▲51
Hi guys, I've spent the last 18 months building a restaurant POS app that can run completely and reliably on iOS. Along the way, we've really pushed the devices to their limits and have something special that doesn't rely on the cloud for service, doesn't copy old and crappy "100 buttons on a screen" POS interfaces, and is still just as efficient and much more usable. Combining Bonjour (Apple's implementation of zeroconf) with the excellent Cocoa APIs also made it a relatively magical experience - you can literally watch on an iPad as a waiter takes an order on a iPod connected to the iPad.…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
