FlowTime - Focus Timer
Hi HN, I built FlowTime. I love Pomodoro but often hit peak focus around minute 25; the fixed break emptied my working memory and I lost the thread. FlowTime lets you work as long as you’re in flow, then take a break equal to 20% of the focus time. One-tap Work → Next Break, task-linked tracking, and a day/week/month/year stats dashboard. Tech: Next.js + TypeScript; data is local-only (no signup). Known limits: single-device data; sync may come later. Would love feedback on: edge cases, UX flow, and what would make this truly useful for creative/deep work.

What it does

FlowTime is a flexible Pomodoro-alternative timer that helps you protect deep focus with one-tap switching between work and rest. Sign in with Google to sync tasks, focus logs, and settings across devices, and review everything in a task-linked statistics dashboard. Core features are free, while Pro and Premium add CSV/JSON export and Google Calendar integration.
Switch between focus and break with a single button, so you can stay in the zone without hesitation. Track every second of each session in the stats dashboard, so you can review your progress with concrete numbers. Sign in with your Google account to synchronise your data across any device. Tap the + button to register every task you plan to work on today. Each task will build its own focus history. Press “Start Focus”. The timer turns red to indicate a focus interval—stay immersed until the alarm signals break time. When the timer switches to aqua, you’re in break mode. Flowmodor addresses this by offering flexibility: work x minutes, take x/5 minutes break. Flowmodor automatically calculate and set break timer for you based on your work duration. In this way you can stay in the flow state while maintaining the 5:1 work-break ratio.

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
