Focus Farming: Gamified Focus Timer

I’ve struggled with motivation issues lately, so I’ve took a week off and created this small app from start to finish. Its helped me regain some of my motivation again, and now I want to share it. Focus Farming: Gamified Focus Timer launched on June 9, 2025 with 12 votes, #1,876 of 7,999 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was not reachable when checked in September 2026.

What it does

Inspired by popular productivity methods, Focus Farming lets you set a timer for your focus sessions. It puts you into the shoes of a farmer where you can (only with hard work): 1) Plant Crops, Reap Rewards 2) Unlock New Seeds 3) Stay Accountable

I’ve been struggling with motivation issues lately. The creation process of this app was important in gaining part of my motivation back. I would be happy if you check it out, it’s a small app, similar to forest. But without the gambling.

The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned.
