Folks – A Community for Product People
Hey HN! I've been building an open-source community platform over the past few days and would love for y'all to check it out. We are still very early, the platform has been open for 2 days and we're already on 38 people as i post this. Folks is a place for creative people (designers, engineers, founders, painters, carpenters, and anyone else who crafts something) to share their creations and thoughts with each other and feel comfortable doing so.

I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box.
