Freight Class Calculator
Free NMFC freight class calculator for LTL shipping
What it does
Calculate your freight class from dimensions and weight using the current NMFC 13-sub density scale (effective July 19, 2025). Full freight class chart 50–500, NMFC code explainer, and reclassification fee guide. Free, no login.
Enter your pallet dimensions and weight — get your shipment density and estimated NMFC freight class on the current 13-sub density scale that took effect July 19, 2025. Plus the full class chart, NMFC code explainer, and what actually happens when a carrier reclassifies you. Measure the finished handling unit — pallet, crate, or carton — at its longest, widest, and tallest points, including the pallet itself, overhang, and packaging. Carriers measure the same way, with laser dimensioners. So close: 0.63 pcf more density puts you at class 92.5 . Shrinking the cube — shorter pallet, tighter stacking, no overhang — often gets you there. Density-based estimate. Commodity-specific NMFC listings,…from 3plguys.com

- SCSimple CBM calculator for shipping and freightMar 2026 · cbmcalc.com · ▲5
Hi HN Just sharing a small tool I built: https://cbmcalc.com It calculates CBM (cubic meters) for shipping cartons, pallets, or multiple boxes. I made it because most CBM calculators online are too simple and some couldn't add multi items. This one is simple and kinda works on mobile too Would love any feedback!

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
