Get Creative, a website within a chrome extension

I just launched a new project aimed at helping people to do something fun and creative every day by giving them daily challenges. The goal is to promote habitual creativity by reducing the barrier to content creation and reminding users to keep at it. Everyone can see everyone else's creations and give them some encouragement with a like. When designing Get Creative, I wanted something with a mobile sensibility: badged notifications reminding users to return, a very simple interface, even a predefined viewing size. But I didn't want to dive full in to iOS or Android where testing would be…

In plain words

Get Creative is a Chrome extension that sends users daily creative challenges to build a habit of making art and content. The simple interface reduces barriers to creation while badges notify users to return regularly. All participants can view and like each other's work for encouragement. Designed with mobile principles like streamlined navigation and preset viewing dimensions, the extension operates entirely within its popup window, eliminating the need for separate iOS or Android development.

we built sleek.design: you describe your app idea and it generates mobile mockups designs. it is possible to export them into html, react or figma. it is also possible to get a prompt that can be pasted into bolt and will generate the actual app starting from the design created. this is our third huge pivot and honestly the last shot we're giving ourselves. quick backstory: we're 3 bootstrapped builders. launched about a year ago with what's now on v1.reweb.so, basically a visual builder for nextjs/tailwind/shadcn. it went pretty viral and started growing, but we couldn't get past…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
