Get Stung
In my area I have 8 ANPR car parks within a 10 min radius that are free to park in, but you need to remember to enter your registration plate if not you are hit with a £70+ fine. This is easy to forget for older people. People who are with the kids. ect ectt. so I have made an app that sends a push notification after you enter one.Its free. I will add pro features in the future to keep it alive and server costs. Im in the process of populating the car parks but users can still add there own in the local area if they want

What it does
ANPR car parks can be unforgiving especially for older drivers, busy parents or anyone simply distracted. Get Stung automatically triggers a delayed notification when you enter a car park, so you don’t forget to register your numberplate before leaving preventing that fine. There is massive scale in ANPR-enabled private PCNs tens of millions issued annually, rising rapidly this is my attempt to combat them.
We'll buzz you before they do! The ultimate parking companion for UK drivers.
Get Stung uses geofencing to let you know when you have entered an ANPR car park. Save your money and avoid nasty surprises. Everything you need to avoid fines and keep your money in your pocket. Get buzzed the moment you park. We remind you to pay or leave before you get a ticket. Advanced technology detects when you enter an ANPR zone, working seamlessly in the background. Keep track of all your parking sessions. See exactly where you've been and when. Your location data stays on your device. We respect your privacy 100%. It happens more than you think. Older drivers or those in a rush often simply forget to enter their registration details. Parents busy with children can easily lose…from getstung.io

I'm 17 and built a startup to find or sell parking spots2024 · parkt.app · ▲63Hey HN! I'm Dris, I'm 17, and for the past few months, I've been solo-developing Parkt, an app that lets you quickly reserve or sell parking spots. Parking sucks - it's expensive, hard to find, and you usually overpay or get a ticket. With Parkt, you can reserve parking in 2 taps, or list your unused space in under 5 minutes. It's now free to download on iOS (with Android coming soon)! You can also check out a demo on the site if you're interested. If you know someone who might use Parkt, sharing the app would be super helpful! Feedback is also appreciated.

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
