Giant Crossings
Build the bridge from your reality to your vision.
What it does
Giant Crossings turns real life into a game. Your reality stands on one cliff. Your vision stands on the other. Every real action you take lays a plank across the chasm. Every miss falls away. AI that sees both sides suggests your next plank. Repetition makes the new behavior stick. Run as many crossings as you want, from building something new to undoing an old weight. Reach the far side and it becomes your new ground. Then you set a bigger vision and cross again. From the Tribe of Giants.
Name your reality and your vision. An AI Pathway Generator deals real routes across the gap — planks that hold build your bridge, falls teach the next one. Free to start.
Between the life you have and the life you can see, there's a chasm. This game reads both sides of yours and hands you a step small enough to take in the next 48 hours — the bridge builds one real plank at a time . No card to start — a free account and your first crossing, planks and all. The full game is $9 a month, renews monthly, cancel in one click. Included with All-Access. Name your near shore (your reality, no spin) and your far shore (your vision, said like it's already true). An AI Pathway Generator deals real, concrete routes across — each with a first step you can take in 48 hours for under $50. You don't tap a screen to win — you act in real life, then tell the bridge what…from tribeofgiants.com

- ASA strategy game about the AI race where you can't verify alignmentJul 2026 · criticalwindow.org · ▲6
I made a strategy game where you play the US or China through the AI race, 2026 to 2030, sixteen quarterly turns in the browser. One run takes about half an hour. At the start, the game seals two dice you never get to see. Inside: how hard alignment really is, and how fast takeoff compounds. You get eval reports, but only as ranges, and they flatter you most exactly when your systems are least aligned. At the end you get a debrief which shows what your evals said each quarter and also what was actually true. I lost every run I played myself so far. Every number in the game is source-backed…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
