GizAI – AI Generators and Notes and Drive
Hey folks! So, we're just a tiny team of 4 developers who've been coding our hearts out for the past 2 years. Last May, we took the plunge and clicked our way through Stripe Atlas to officially become Giz Inc. (Yeah, we're as surprised as you are.) * We've been working on this thing called GizAI... We opened the beta today. - It's kinda like a Swiss Army knife for your digital life, but with AI. Nothing too fancy, just trying to make life a bit easier, you know? - We threw in some AI chat stuff (GPT-4o, Gemini, Claude 3.5 the usual suspects), and it can generate images, videos, and audio.…
What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch
- We threw in some AI chat stuff (GPT-4o, Gemini, Claude 3.5 the usual suspects), and it can generate images, videos, and audio. Might save you a few clicks here and there. - There's a notes feature with AI help (for when your brain decides to take a coffee break), and a file organizer that tries to be smarter than your desktop mess. * Features include (or at least, what we think they do): - Notes : AI collaborative notes for questions, summaries, edits, and rich media. - Drive : Enhanced file management with version control, search, and sharing. - AI Chat : Chatbot with model selection, contextual searches, and media creation. - AI Story Generator : Create multimedia stories with custom images, videos, and audio. - AI Instant Magazine : Instantly create personalized news magazines with curated content. - AI Image Generator : Generate and modify images with advanced AI models. - AI Headshot Generator : Transform a single photo into creative images and videos in 9s. - AI Video Generator : Generated in 5s with advanced features like face integration. - AI Games : Create interactive fiction games with multimedia storytelling. - AI Characters : Generate lifelike virtual characters with customizable features. - AI Audio Generator : Convert text to speech, clone voices, and generate music. - Transcription : Fast, accurate transcription of audio files with speaker separation. - Summarizer : Organized summaries of videos, PDFs, web pages, and news articles. * Beta Tester Stuff: Visit the http://www.giz.ai to learn more and click Join the beta to sign up for the beta. (sorry, it's not perfect). - Free Silver Plan for a month. It's usually $18, but who's counting? - Give us feedback, maybe get more free months. We're not above bribery. * Beta runs July 1-31, 2024. Might end early if too many people show up (or if we panic). * Why bother? It's all in one place. Saves you from app-hopping like a digital kangaroo. Works in your browser. No app downloads, because who needs more of those? Voice input, text-to-speech, multi-language support. We're trying to be inclusive here. * Startup Lamb begs for feedback, thanks for reading.

- IMI Made an AI Software Engineer with Google Gemini 1.5 Flash2024 · saas-quick.com · ▲6
Hey HN! Thank you for all the support and feedback on my original submission 2 months ago. I've been improving the backend using a MCTS/AlphaZero approach and it's currently producing much better results. My long term goal is to allow users to manage multiple projects, deployed autonomously, both from scratch and by making continual updates all prompted with natural language. The cost of each project has been lowered to $9 as performance with smaller models has improved (I migrated from Claude-3-Opus to gemini-1.5-flash). Thanks for checking it out!

I’ve spent the last 2.5 months building a product that runs LLM-powered code reviews on my pull requests — and I just launched it. The tool is built specifically for solo developers. You install it on your repo, trigger a scan by creating a pull request, and it leaves structured review comments using OpenAI under the hood. Funnily enough, I used the dev version of this app to review its own pull requests while building it. It helped me spot bugs, simplify structure, and keep quality high — all with minimal need for another human in the loop. Things I want to try out in the next months : -…
- ASAI Search and Knowledge Assistant – Stripe as a Demo2024 · demo.ordemio.com · ▲8
Hey HN, Since the launch of GPTs, I’ve struggled with integrating vast, up-to-date knowledge into a custom GPT and embedding it into websites and apps. After months of trial and error, we’ve developed an AI Search & Knowledge Assistant that solves this problem. Over the weekend, I built a demo assistant for Stripe that provides accurate answers, useful links, images in responses, cites sources, and keeps a thread history of your conversations. Here’s what’s included: - 3,700+ public documents full of useful info - 105+ million characters of rich knowledge - Powered by the ChatGPT-4o model…
- WBWe built an AI Website builder with better output2024 · dorik.com · ▲8
Hey HN, After GPT-3 created waves in the tech industry, a lot of AI tools were emerging and with that, some AI website builders But the results seemed way too generic to us. It felt like the developers were rushing to catch the wave instead of building a proper tool We took our time, did months of RnD and finally came up with something better than what others in the market are doing. It’s got better design output. While it’s still in beta, I wanted to show HN what we did. Will appreciate the feedback when you guys try it out. Here is the link to signup for the beta:…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…
