God of War 4

What it does

God of War 4 is an epic PS4 exclusive featuring Kratos, a Spartan warrior who battled the Greek gods and took down Mt Olympus. Now living somewhere further North in an unfamiliar land, he is a father of a young boy Atreus. When Atreus's mother dies, the two journey to deposit her ashes, battling Norse gods and monsters along the way.

Starting with the release of God of War in 2005 on PlayStation®2, Santa Monica Studio has created several games across multiple platforms. Up to 2018, the franchise focused on Kratos’ journey in the Greek world, but has since ventured to Norse realms with God of War and its follow-up, Ragnarök.

God of War Laufey sheds light on Faye, a character whose story has long remained untold. Every legend has a beginning – before he was a God, before he was a father, Kratos was a young Spartan. Kratos and Atreus journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as they prepare for the prophesied battle that will end the world. Kratos, together with his son Atreus, ventures into the brutal Norse wilds to fulfil a deeply personal quest.
