GoodNotes 5 is a combination digital notepad and PDF markup tool. As a notepad, GoodNotes lets you use either your keyboard or Apple Pencil. The app transforms your hand-drawn shapes, as well as your handwriting, into clean shapes and text.

Bring your thinking to life, collaborate in real time, and turn brainstorming into action with shared notes, whiteboards and text documents.

Work together across notebooks, documents, and whiteboards—no more back-and-forth or version chaos. Review and annotate PDFs, and iterate across multiple documents without breaking context or switching tools. Support across any input. Handwritten notes, sketches, images, audio, or text. Create a shared source of truth for projects, training, and reference material — organized and ready to build on. Capture ideas live, organize them instantly, and move forward with clarity.
