Gpubook – An order book for GPU compute
A physically-settled GPU compute exchange. Trade daily contracts on an order book with bond-rated providers. The deliverable is an IP and SSH key.
Gpubook – An order book for GPU compute launched on May 19, 2026 with 7 votes, #1,574 of 20,538 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches.
What it does
You're paying $0.45/hr for a 5090 right now. Someone three listings down is paying $0.28 for the same card from the same region. Neither of you knows. There's no order book. No visible market. Just a wall of listings and a prayer. If you're a provider, you're guessing what to charge. Set it too high and your GPU sits idle. Too low and you're leaving money on the table. There's no demand signal. No way to sell tomorrow's capacity today. No way to build a reputation that commands a premium. Meanwhile, compute is becoming the most important commodity in the world. CME is launching compute futures. DRW and Jump Trading are placing bets. Blackstone just put $5 billion into packaging Google TPU…from gpubook.io

Computable GPU Index (CGI)Aug 2026 · getcomputable.com · ▲444Hey we are Computable. We spent years building trading infrastructure at Jump Trading and Coinbase. From that point of view, compute looks like energy markets before 2000: everything trades through private bilateral leases, there’s no visible price, and nothing can be resold. The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…
Attaching to a virtual GPU over TCP2024 · thundercompute.com · ▲344We developed a tool to trick your computer into thinking it’s attached to a GPU which actually sits across a network. This allows you to switch the number or type of GPUs you’re using with a single command.

Hi HN, YC w24 company here. We just pivoted from drone delivery to build gpudeploy.com, a website that routes on-demand traffic for GPU instances to idle compute resources. The experience is similar to lambda labs, which we’ve really enjoyed for training our robotics models, but their GPUs are never available for on-demand. We are also trying to make it more no-nonsense (no hidden fees, no H100 behind “contact sales”, etc.). The tech to make this work is actually kind of nifty, we may do an in-depth HN post on that soon. Right now, we have H100s, a few RTX 4090s and a GTX 1080 Ti online.…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
