Graffitly - Anonymous Public Messages
Hi HN, About two months ago, I was inspired by the events that began to unfold in Tunisia, Egypt, and then elsewhere, as everyday people started using the internet to organize revolutions against despots. I was amazed at their courage, using sites like Facebook which forces them to use their real name, or twitter which uses an account that can be easily tracked back to them. It's my first ruby on rails app, and there is…

Got started with Rails earlier this week. Thought it'd be fun if I built something quick based on the introductory tutorial I've always been fascinated by the actions of others when complete and absolute anonymity is granted. Especially when they are put into a position of power. The goal of this project is simply to see what happens to the site. Have at it! https://anonblog.herokuapp.com/

Our solution: We wanted to make it "one click" to reach a real person. How it works: You click on who you want to talk to (even a specific department, like the billing dept at…

I recently decided to try out Google Tasks as my only task management system, and while I find some things about the interface great, it really isn't suited for someone like me who has multiple lists with lots of elements on each. So, I whipped this together real fast and I can't imagine using Google Tasks without it anymore. I realized you might want it too, so I put it on the web. Enjoy :)
