Happy Changelog
Automated, conflict-free changelogs for modern dev teams
Happy Changelog launched on May 3, 2025 with 4 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
Happy Changelog automates changelog creation and eliminates merge conflicts for teams using conventional commits. Integrate with your CI/CD pipeline, customize templates, and ensure every release note is accurate and up-to-date.
An open workflow framework for managing changelogs through pull request descriptions
Happy Changelog is a free, open workflow framework that eliminates changelog conflicts by moving changelog entries to PR descriptions. It promotes intelligent sorting and merging of entries by change type across multiple PRs and versions, enabling automated version bumping and release notes generation based on semantic versioning principles. Add a "Changelog" section to your pull request description with appropriate change categories (Added, Changed, Fixed, etc.) and indicate the change level (major/minor/patch). When merged, a CI/CD process extracts the changelog entries, updates the CHANGELOG.md file, and bumps the version in package.json based on the highest change level. Hey HN, I built ChangelogHub (https://changeloghub.com) to automate something that is always last on my list for every release: writing clean and human-readable changelogs. Human-readable being the key phrase here. Writing changelogs manually is tedious, especially for backend/infrastructure changes that users never see but matter a lot. I wanted something that didn’t just rephrase commit messages, but actually understood the code diffs. HOW IT WORKS: - Analyzes diffs from PRs or direct commits - Summarizes the changes using OpenAI (code-diffs+custom prompt + heuristics) -…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Tapflow 2.0▲1,125We built Tapflow for devs, designers, PMs, and tech folks who’ve been sitting on internal docs, templates, and systems — but never productized them. Upload a PDF, notes, or workshop deck, and Tapflow drafts a structured product (with chapters, teaser and pricing plans). It’s good for AI kits, onboarding guides, design systems, and frameworks. You can sell through Stripe, LemonSqueezy, or PayPal. Real-time collaboration is in early beta. No site builder, no LMS — clean design and just focused tools to ship. Fully bootstrapped and just launched on PH today →…
