Headroom – Loudness normalizer and Key+BPM playlist sorter for DJs

What it does

Rekordbox does three things in software that never survive the trip to a CDJ. Bake'n Deck is a free, open-source CLI that bakes each one into the files themselves. Rekordbox prep doesn't fully reach the booth. Three software-only conveniences get left behind on the way to the CDJ. Rekordbox's Auto Gain feature analyzes your tracks and calculates gain adjustments to normalize loudness. It works great with controllers. But when you export to USB for CDJs, Auto Gain values are ignored. Harmonic mixing wants a playlist sorted by Camelot Key, then by BPM within each key group. Rekordbox's UI has never offered compound sort: its Sort by Key view is single-column, so BPMs scatter inside each key…from headroom.ravers.workers.dev
