Hetzner-k3s v1.0.1 is out with autoscaling support
This is the newest update to my CLI tool to quickly create cheap Kubernetes clusters in Hetzner Cloud. This update adds autoscaling support, so clusters created with this tool now can behave similar to managed Kubernetes clusters, which I think is awesome. I received a lot of feedback since the last update so I hope anyone interested could try the new version as well. Thanks a lot for the feedback so far! In plain words
Hetzner-k3s is a CLI tool that creates Kubernetes clusters on Hetzner Cloud infrastructure at lower cost than traditional managed services. Version 1.0.1 adds autoscaling capabilities, allowing clusters to automatically scale resources similarly to managed Kubernetes offerings. The tool is designed for developers seeking a cost-effective alternative to mainstream cloud providers while maintaining cluster management functionality.

Edka – Kubernetes clusters on your own Hetzner account2025 · edka.io · ▲437Hi HN, I’ve been working with Kubernetes for over a decade, since the alpha days, and was involved in kube-aws project before AWS launched EKS. For the past four years, I’ve been helping friends and small businesses cut costs by running Kubernetes on Hetzner Cloud, which I’ve found to be rock solid and by far the best priced provider. Provisioning a cluster on Hetzner is now straightforward, thanks to tools like k3s and hetzner-k3s, but configuring it for your specific needs still takes time and expertise. I built Edka to make that part easy: spin up a production ready cluster in ~2 minutes,…

10x Kubernetes Cluster on Hetzner Cloud2025 · github.com · ▲5I created this terraform/tofu module that provisions a k8s/k3s cluster on Hetzner's cloud. If you compare the price to popular hyperscalers you get 10x the value for your buck. Quick overview of the most important features: - hosts are managed in node pools, like you'd do on AKS, etc - the cluster configuration has been hardened according to k3s hardening guide (https://docs.k3s.io/security/hardening-guide) - the cluster is private by default and can not be accessed from the internet - you decide what to expose - nodes are auto-installing security updates -…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

This works suprisingly well. Just give it instructions like "make it winter" or "remove the cars" and the photo is altered. Here are some examples of transformations it can make: Golden gate bridge: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brycedrennan/imaginAIry/ma... I integrated this new InstructPix2Pix model into imaginAIry (python library) so it's easy to use for python developers.

The project is called QueryStorm. It uses Roslyn to offer C# (and VB.NET) support in Excel, as an alternative to VBA. I've posted about it before, but a lot has changed since then so figured I'd share an update. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository). The AppStore can be used by anyone with the (free) runtime component. Another great addition is the community license, which is a free license for individuals and small companies…

Hey HN! Some more info: I’m an NHS doctor and the founder of Pi-A (https://www.pi-a.io) which developed Lungy (https://www.lungy.app). Lungy is an app (iOS only for now) that responds to breathing in real-time and was designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and beneficial to do. It hopefully has many aspects of interest to the HN community – real-time fluid, cloth and soft body sims running on the phone’s GPU. My background is as a junior surgical trainee and I started building Lungy in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in London. During COVID, there were…
