HgLab 1.0 Released - Mercurial Server for Windows

This is the thing I've been busy with for the past 18 months, over which it has grown from a skunkworks project into a real-world product. This is going to be my first microISV and even if it's a colossal commercial failure, I'm looking forward to the experience of product development. To ship HgLab, I first effectively rewrote Mercurial Core in C# (https://bitbucket.org/hglab/hgsharp), and then built on that to first deliver a bare-bones read-only repository browser and then a full-fledged Mercurial Server. I'm open to any kind of feedback. And wish me luck!

HgLab 1.0 Released - Mercurial Server for Windows launched on November 26, 2013 with 5 votes, #228 of 701 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 12 years on.

    If you ask why there was .hg and .hgignore in a Git repository, it's because I completely forgot this project is my first ever project using Mercurial as SCM. As such, I foolishly `git init` the repository and have to update both .gitignore and .hgignore to finish the changes.     Long-simmering side project that is finally ready to see the light. HAMTs are a cool persistent data structure and implementing one has been a lot of fun. Beyond the code, there is likely some value in the extensive and largely complete implementation docs; basic benchmarks are linked in the README, too. Kind of aiming to be "the libavl for HAMTs".
