HouseFix, Share and Track Home Projects

Wanted the HN crowds opinions on a re-launch that http://www.housefix.com just went through. It used to be a drupal based site that was pretty lackluster at best. We went through the process of gauging user interest and seeing where there pain points were. We then used that info and went through a redesign using backbone/node/etc. That brings us to the current v2 that is now live. The point of HouseFix is to provide a simple interface to track the home improvement or home maintenance projects that you need to complete. You can upload pictures of the current state of the project, pictures of…

    Update on my startup - very overdue.2011 · ▲13

When I see what some HN members have done in a weekend on their projects, it makes it hard to confess that it has taken us 1 year to get to this stage. I kept trying to make things perfect, but finally I have seen the light - it will never be perfect and even in its current state, I see so much we need to improve, but it's something. Instead of delaying even more, I thought I would release it to the best critics out there - HN say hello to MyProperty.com Hope to hear your feedback, criticism, thoughts.

    We built a care home software2022 · carehomedomestic.com · ▲6

My other half runs a care home in the UK. She was frustrated with some of the remaining paper based processes, and the 'techy' alternatives were off-putting. So we built Care Home Domestic. The project is self funded and has been a fun and exciting journey! It is currently in use at a few homes and feedback so far is really good. There's loads of work still to do, but we've gone out early and aim to be reactive to the feedback of our users.
