How to access my personal API

Hello, friends. I'm Josh Beckman. I make things - mostly software, mostly for others. This is where I keep years of writing, notes, and reading highlights, as a [knowledge garden](/about-this-site) built in the open. [I write](/blog) about s...

In plain words

Josh Beckman's personal website functions as a knowledge garden containing years of accumulated writing, notes, and reading highlights. Built as an open project, it serves developers and those interested in software development as a repository of documented thinking. The site includes a blog section and organizes content in a garden-style format rather than traditional chronological structure, allowing visitors to explore interconnected ideas and resources.

I built this tool because I wanted a way to just take a bunch of URLs or domains, and query their content in RAG applications. It takes away the pain of crawling, extracting content, chunking, vectorizing, and updating periodically. I'm curious to see if it can be useful to others. I meant to launch this six months ago but life got in the way...

My personal knowledge base is hosted on GitHub at https://raphaelsty.github.io/knowledge/. It scans the documents I like every day using GitHub Action, Zotero, HackerNews upvote and Github Likes. It's not yet optimized for smartphones. It cost me $5 to host it for a year.

Hey HN - I first posted about my knowledge base product, Atomic, here around a month ago; since then, a viral tweet by Karpathy has produced a torrent of AI powered knowledge base projects. meanwhile I've been shipping like crazy, here are some of the new features shipped in the last month: - Rebuilt the iOS app with an Android app on the way - expanded both the MCP and internal agent chat toolkit immensely - A custom, CodeMirror6-based markdown editor with obsidian-style rendering - A dashboard view that provides a daily summary of atoms created or updated in the last day And many bug fixes…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
