What it does

Planchette is an AI-powered spirit board that runs entirely on your machine. Ask a question, and the planchette moves across the board spelling out the spirit's answer. Letter by letter, word by word. It uses Ouija2-1.7B , a 1.7B parameter language model fine-tuned to behave like a spirit communicating through a talking board. No cloud, no API keys, no internet required after the initial model download. The board reacts to what the "spirit" says: it may shake on a harsh answer, glow on a positive one, flicker on uncertainty, or fade away when the spirit says goodbye. Every message is analyzed before the spirit responds. If signs of emotional distress, self-harm, or suicidal ideation are…from github.com

Hi HN! I've been tinkering with this mini-game / horror experience for a while. I hope it creeps you out! You can go into settings to toggle between 2 different chatbots: a scripted experience (with achievements to unlock) and a more versatile GPT-3 mode. Let me know what you think! :) There's also a toggle to show how the mouse magic is made. Source is available here: https://github.com/baobabKoodaa/ouija

This is a quick prototype I built for semantic search and factual question answering using embeddings and GPT-3. It tries to solve the LLM hallucination issue by guiding it only to answer questions from the given context instead of making things up. If you ask something not covered in an episode, it should say that it doesn't know rather than providing a plausible, but potentially incorrect response. It uses Whisper to transcribe, text-embedding-ada-002 to embed, Pinecone.io to search, and text-davinci-003 to generate the answer. More examples and explanations here:…

  • Hello my name is Ben Ward for the past 3 years I have been remastering the financial game Wall Street Raider created by Michael Jenkins originally on DOS in 1986. It has been a rough journey but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just recently redid the website and thought maybe the full story of how this project came to be would interest you all. Thank you for reading.
