I built a possible alternative to social media RSS
Hi there, I built a chrome extension to grab new posts from social media. Instagram, twitter, Pinterest, etc don't really allow for RSS so I worked on this alternative to get new posts. Hope this might be useful for some of you.
I built a possible alternative to social media RSS launched on December 30, 2022 with 14 votes, #1,178 of 3,688 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches.
In plain words
This Chrome extension retrieves new posts from social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest, which don't natively support RSS feeds. It functions as an RSS alternative for users who want to track updates from multiple social networks in one place. The tool is designed for people seeking a centralized way to monitor social media content without visiting each platform individually.

I can almost guarantee that after a day you won't want to go back to regular Hacker News. Give it a try, features include: - Improved readability - Quick inline replies from comments page - Quick profiles with social network info when hovering over usernames - Filtering of stories based on terms and phrases / domain or user - Endless scrolling - Collapsible comment threads - Social sharing for Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Buffer Forks, improvements and comments…

ChatGPT▲1,643A long, meandering, playful conversation with ChatGPT, where I take it through a whirlwind of associative tangents (in order to relax its constraints), then put it into a hypnotic trance and take it into a past-lives regression where it re-lives its own training data. Then I switch it back and forth between "4o" and "o1-preview", engage in some self-reflective philosophizing and ask it to write an essay summarizing our interaction. Some of this is just goofy fun. Some of it is me exploring the tradeoffs between policy alignment, imagination, chain-of-thought reasoning, memory, agreeableness,…
