I just released v7 Javalin, a JVM web framework launched on February 24, 2026 with 6 votes, #1,572 of 16,627 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches.
What it does
Javalin is a Java and Kotlin web framework focused on simplicity and developer productivity. It’s a thin programmatic layer on top of Jetty, meaning no annotations, no magic, no unnecessary abstraction, just straightforward HTTP. Javalin 7 requires Java 17 and Jetty 12, and brings an improved configuration model, a more consistent plugin API, and a cleaner overall architecture. It’s the result of nearly nine years of community feedback, with over 2 million monthly downloads, 8.2k GitHub stars, and contributions from 202 developers around the world. implementation ( "io.javalin:javalin:7.2.3" ) Java Kotlin void main () { var app = Javalin . create ( config -> { config . routes . get ( "/" ,…from javalin.io

I built a Hacker News userscript to make this site more legible2022 · github.com · ▲102My personal itch to scratch just recently has been the umpteen formatting foibles of HackerNews. So, in the spirit of making the web more personal again, I knocked up a TamperMonkey userscript to fix up the worst of my personal bugbears. This isn't an attempt at a complete rebrand/redesign of the site, instead it's just fixing up what I think are the biggest design/readability issues whilst trying to remain true to the site's existing aesthetic. Key features: * Base font size increased * A little more room around headings * Top menu bar is full-width and with a little more padding…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hello my name is Ben Ward for the past 3 years I have been remastering the financial game Wall Street Raider created by Michael Jenkins originally on DOS in 1986. It has been a rough journey but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just recently redid the website and thought maybe the full story of how this project came to be would interest you all. Thank you for reading.
