I made a better zsh autosuggestion tool that predicts your next command

Hi everyone I just created Deja, a tool that instead of only surfacing commands that start with what you've typed, suggest what you actually want to run. I built it because I was using zsh autosuggestions but got tired of typing the same commands again and again. So Deja predicts your next command from your history. Let me know what you think

In plain words

Deja is a zsh autosuggestion tool that predicts a user's next command based on their history rather than just matching typed characters. Designed for developers who frequently run similar commands, it learns from past usage patterns to suggest relevant commands without requiring full text input. The tool aims to reduce repetitive typing by intelligently anticipating what command comes next.

ZSH plugin every developer should use2014 · ▲9

Hey HN, if you are a developer you will probably know the following situation: You are going to a certain project directory and then you are searching for this one command which was specific to this project or you just want to go through the last commands you typed into your shell while you were working in this directory. If you ever had this problem and are using Zsh, you should check out this zsh plugin I wrote: https://github.com/tymm/directory-history Let me know what you think!

    Manai – AI powered interactive command line completion for Zsh2024 · github.com · ▲7

Manai is an AI-powered interactive command-line completion for Zsh. Use a hotkey to trigger it and ask anything about your work-in-progress command line. Honestly, I'm too lazy to read `man`, even `tldr` so I made this Zsh plugin to ask about options/parameters for the command I'm writing. I designed the behaviour to seamlessly integrate into workflows using the CLI. Please watch my video in the repository and try it if you are interested. Any feedback is welcomed :)

  • Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
