I made a tool to generate photomosaics with your pictures

Hi HN! I wanted to make some photomosaics for an anniversary gift, but I ended up building this tool and turning it into a website that anyone can use. For those who don’t know, a photomosaic is an image made up of many smaller tile images, arranged in a way that forms a larger, recognisable picture. The best part? Everything runs directly in your browser. No files are uploaded, and there’s no sign-up required.

I made a tool to generate photomosaics with your pictures launched on July 28, 2025 with 122 votes, #334 of 9,223 launches that month and more than 95% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
