I made an app that lets you save audio to your Cameral Roll
...because Apple make it too hard to navigate chronologically through anything but your photos. Really they should have let you do this directly from voice memos so that you can share whenever and to wherever you want. If anyone has any suggestions to make it better, let me know. Thanks.

In plain words
This app lets users save audio recordings directly to their Camera Roll, making it easier to access and share audio files chronologically alongside photos. It addresses the difficulty of navigating through voice memos in Apple's native system. The app is designed for anyone who frequently records audio and wants streamlined sharing capabilities across different platforms and contacts. It provides a simpler alternative to Apple's default voice memo interface.

Apple stops you from organising audio in your camera roll. The camera roll is where my life lives. Just Send Record lets you record, save and send audio from your camera roll. No more hunting in files, or recorder apps, or voice memos. Just record and save.
Turn sound into shareable art! Create stunning visual waveforms from your voice recordings and share them anywhere—with no cloud sync, your recordings stay secure until you decide to share them.

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
