I make a shell tool to view and manage the PATH in tree view launched on June 8, 2024 with 5 votes, #1,622 of 4,672 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.
What it does
In interactive terminal ( zsh, bash ... ), Can use Tab to get completion information x path is the x-cmd module for handling the PATH environment variable. Running x path opens an interactive app whose left column lists the directories in PATH and whose right column lists the executables inside the selected directory; it also provides the rm and uniq subcommands for removing and deduplicating entries. No. x path only affects PATH in the current session environment; it does not touch the global environment's PATH. To make a change persistent you have to edit your shell config yourself. Pressing Enter brings up a next-step menu, such as switching to the selected directory or removing it from…from x-cmd.com
