I open-sourced two AI agents with real memory (chat and voice, MIT)
Real, framework-free AI support agent where SynapCores is the brain — memory, RAG, tool routing, generation in one database. Browser chat widget + live Brain debug sidebar. Fork and run in 30s. - SynapCores/synapcores-agent
I open-sourced two AI agents with real memory (chat and voice, MIT) launched on May 26, 2026 with 5 votes, #2,008 of 20,538 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches.
What it does
Embed a real, memory-grounded AI support agent on any site with one <script> tag. The widget is MIT-licensed and CDN-hosted; the agent loop runs natively in SynapCores via AGENT_RUN() ; your browser never holds a database credential. < script defer src =" https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@synapcores/[email protected]/dist/widget.js " integrity =" sha384-rn44GdC0gnzNPwhJYHl4TEzahTnCGWtcE/N7QJZ1T5L+Sta8Bh/2d4lga2FaM4NB " crossorigin =" anonymous " data-api-base =" https://chat.your.com " data-project-key =" pk_abc123 " > </ script > That's the entire install on the embedder's side. The two data-* attributes point at your @synapcores/widget-proxy (this repo's proxy/ ), which holds the SynapCores…from github.com

Core – open source memory graph for LLMs – shareable, user owned2025 · github.com · ▲112I keep running in the same problem of each AI app “remembers” me in its own silo. ChatGPT knows my project details, Cursor forgets them, Claude starts from zero… so I end up re-explaining myself dozens of times a day across these apps. The deeper problem 1. Not portable – context is vendor-locked; nothing travels across tools. 2. Not relational – most memory systems store only the latest fact (“sticky notes”) with no history or provenance. 3. Not yours – your AI memory is sensitive first-party data, yet you have no control over where it lives or how it’s queried. Demo video:…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
