I rewrote an inventory app 4 times over 5 years before releasing v1

I’ve been building for 5 years. I rewrote it 4 times (Blazor Server -> Blazor WASM + Asp backend -> React + Node -> Ruby on Rails - Ruby and Rails are both awesome btw.) and kept telling myself I was “improving the architecture” when I was really avoiding release. I also spun up a few side projects in that period and shipped none of them. This is the first one I finally pushed live. It’s Upzone, an inventory app for ecommerce warehouse teams: receiving, bin locations, pick/pack/ship workflows, and Shopify/Amazon/... sync. Built on Rails 8, which has been genuinely great…

In plain words

Upzone is an inventory management application designed for ecommerce warehouse teams. It handles receiving, bin location management, pick-pack-ship workflows, and syncs with Shopify and Amazon. The software is built on Rails 8 and includes integration capabilities with QuickBooks. Upzone is intended for operations and warehouse managers who need to streamline their fulfillment processes across multiple sales channels.

A QuickBooks integration is also coming If you run ops or warehouse workflows, I’d love literally any kind of feedback: https://upzonehq.com

    I open-sourced my Go and Next B2B SaaS Starter (deploy anywhere, MIT)Dec 2025 · github.com · ▲83

Hi HN, I'm Mohammed, a technical founder who loves shipping and giving back to the community. I'm open-sourcing the full-stack engine that powers my B2B product, apflow.co. What it is: A production B2B starter with a Go backend and Next.js frontend. Both are fully Dockerized with separate containers. No Vercel. No Supabase. Deploy the whole thing on a $6 VPS, or split frontend and backend across different providers. You own the infrastructure. The problem I was solving: Every SaaS starter I evaluated had the same issue: they locked me into someone else's platform. Vercel for hosting.…

  • Stackdome – An open source self-hostable Railway alternative on K8s24d ago · stackdome.com · ▲21

Hello Hacker News, this is Ashish. We started building Stackdome in 2024 as a hobby project. The idea was to package the tooling in the CNCF/cloud-native ecosystem into an opinionated platform, so that developers can get a well engineered platform without learning Kubernetes YAMLology or a dozen other projects from the CNCF landscape. Railway and Render did this well for their hosted products. I wanted to bring that level of polish and DX to something you can self-host. Stackdome uses Kubernetes underneath, but it's completely transparent to users. (I have some ideas for an expert mode…

    Out Plane – A PaaS I built solo from Istanbul in 3 monthsFeb 2026 · outplane.com · ▲11

Hey HN, I posted Out Plane here last week. Wanted to share an update because I've been shipping a lot. I started this because deploying side projects was killing my motivation. Build something fun over a weekend, then waste two days on Dockerfiles, nginx, and SSL. So I built what I wanted — connect GitHub, push code, get a URL. Done. Since December I've added managed PostgreSQL, managed Redis with RedisInsight built in, Dockerfile auto-detection that pre-fills your config, real-time metrics, and scale to zero — no traffic means no bill. Per-second pricing, not hourly. Same Next.js + Postgres…

    Coding Agents swarming your codebaseSep 2025 · infrastructureas.ai · ▲9

I built this because I was tired of creating pull requests in 20 repositories just to change a single line of workflow job version. With Infra as AI, just mention the change. Agents work on all repos in parallel, read the docs, make a bunch of PRs and fill in the description. You can see the demo of the actual dashboard in the landing. Let me know your thoughts :) It means a lot to me!
