In plain words
This project involves scraping local court records to identify police officers with disciplinary issues or misconduct histories. It compiles publicly available legal data into a searchable resource for anyone interested in law enforcement accountability. The tool targets individuals researching officer backgrounds or those concerned with police conduct records in their jurisdictions. It makes court information that is already public more accessible and organized in one place.

While fiction, the plot is intriguing and contributes to the conversation on advanced crime-fighting technology. However, today’s world may not be far off. Data’s role in our lives and more accessibility to artificial intelligence is changing the way we approach topics such as research, real estate , and law enforcement. In fact, recent investigative reporting has shown that “ dozens of [American] cities ” are now…from lawsuit.org

I'm the president and founder of a small non-profit called Reclaim The Records that identifies historical and genealogical materials and data sets held by government agencies, archives, and libraries -- and then returns them to the public domain, for free public use. Back in September 2017, our organization made a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the US Department of Veterans Affairs (the VA) asking for a copy of a database they maintain called "BIRLS", which stands for the Beneficiary Identification Records Locator Subsystem. While it's not exactly an index of every…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
