It is optional and does not change free access. Built for anyone moving iPhone photo libraries to systems that cannot read HEIC. Input: 120 HEIC files (≈340 MB) dropped at once, quality 0.90. Output: 120 JPG files in one ZIP, decoded and converted locally — upload time: zero. HEIC/HEIF files are decoded on your device with libheif compiled to WebAssembly — no upload, because desktop browsers do not decode HEIC natively.
