IndieAscent

Promote your SaaS to founders who want to see it

What it does

IndieAscent is a community where indie SaaS founders can promote their products without the usual self-promotion bans. It offers a directory, weekly pitches, weighted voting, and dofollow backlinks for approved listings. The platform aims to help founders get discovered and build their product's story.

List your indie SaaS in a directory that gives you a real dofollow link, then see which of your other launches are still live and linking back. Free for one product.

List your product in the directory: a human reads it, and once your badge is up the link back to you is dofollow. Then our crawler walks the rest of your launch history, every directory and thread and newsletter you have used, and tells you which are still standing and which link back at all. Free for one product, no card. Free for one product, no card. We email you a link to sign in. Not here to be listed? The log works on its own : track a product without ever putting it in the directory. Counts across every log we keep. Nothing here identifies a product or a founder. Every one a real founder's product, through review. Nothing here is ranked, and nothing here can be bought. Directories…from indieascent.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
