Instruqt

Open learning platform for DevOps, Cloud and Data

Instruqt launched on August 20, 2018 with 3 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 8 years on.

What it does

Instruqt is a knowledge sharing platform for IT professionals with a focus on Cloud, DevOps and Data. Instead of watching videos or following tutorials, we provide hands-on challenge on real infrastructure. As a developer, you can create your own content and share it with your colleagues. Create an account for free and start learning!

Turn complex software into immersive, hands-on experiences that drive qualified pipeline, accelerate POCs, and close the AI adoption gap. Trusted by MongoDB, Elastic, Google, and SUSE.

Instruqt turns passive content into hands-on product experiences. Marketing generates qualified leads, sales closes faster, and education scales without limits. Static docs, complicated demos, and clunky onboarding slow everything down. Imagine a world where complex technology feels simple and powerful—because developers experience it firsthand. With labs right in your browser and a flexible design, developers can get hands-on—fast. Make it easy to learn—and love—your software. With Instruqt, you’ll empower learning by doing, speed up time-to-value, and drive impact through every stage of the customerfrom instruqt.com

We built InsForge because we wanted to use pure prompts to build a production-grade app faster. In practice, AI isn’t reliable enough when generating code or configuring backend pieces like schema, RLS, auth, or functions. Postgres MCP and Supabase MCP are a good starting point, but they felt more like API wrappers for agents than something designed to guide AI safely through backend tasks. So we built our own MCP server on top of Postgres and added a set of context-engineering tools to make prompt-driven workflows more predictable. It gradually turned into a Postgres-based BaaS. Key…

I’ve been using deep research on OpenAI and Perplexity and it’s been just amazing at gathering data across a lot of related and chained searches. Just earlier today, I asked “What are some marquee tech companies / hot startups (not including the giants like FAAMG, Samsung, Nvidia etc.)”. It’s a pretty involved question and looking up “marquee tech startups” or "hot tech startups" on Google gave me nothing useful. Deep research on both ChatGPT and Perplexity gave really high quality responses with ChatGPT siding on slightly larger scaleups and Perplexity siding more on up and coming…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hi all, founder @ Retool here. We initially launched Retool on HN five years ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=14515494. The feedback was extraordinarily helpful then (e.g. we launched source control, on-prem, etc. based on HN comments), and we’re grateful for all of it. Today, we’re excited to get HN’s thoughts on one of our new products: Retool Mobile. It lets you build and deploy mobile apps in minutes, not days. The idea is there is a large class of line-of-business mobile apps, and the process of getting a simple form + button on a mobile device, in a native app,…
