Interactive visualization of X's feed algorithm – ML in browser
X-AI recently open sourced their new recommendation algorithm. I wanted to see exactly how the X "For You" algorithm decides whether to recommend your tweet or not, so I built this 'playable' CRT-styled simulator that runs a simpler version of X's recommendation pipeline right in your browser. It's a "playable documentary" that allows you to type raw text and watch it physically travel through tokenization, embedding, safety filtering, and final ranking, all based on the X-AI reference docs. Under the hood it's running real local ML inference (a tiny embedding model using Transformers.js) to…

What it does
This is a fun, interactive, CRT-styled simulation of the X "For You" recommendation pipeline that shows how your tweet travels through the X's infrastructure when you press "Tweet."

XBeast2024 · xbeast.io · ▲228A few weeks ago I realized i was spending way too much time trying to write quality posts for Twitter. So I decided to look into scheduling tools which could help me automate my writing. I tried a few, but none of them satisfied me. Either the interface was way too complicated or the features i wanted were just not there. Finally, after some time I gave up… and instead I decided to just do it! I hacked up a quick prototype in a weekend. Tried it out - it worked!! Mostly.. I fixed some bugs, made a nice UI, and now (3 weeks later) I think I built one of the nicest scheduling tools out there.
I built a self hosted recommendation feed to escape Google's algorithm2022 · github.com · ▲214I created this chrome extension for myself where I track my own behavior locally and recommend myself content from platforms I want content from (youtube/twitter/quora/etc) in a feed. I made it public just in case anyone else was interested. I would rather have control over my own algorithm and own the data. Also, it gives me flexibility. Turns out I do like these feeds just not when I don't own it haha. Let me know what you think of my implementation?
- AFArXiv Feed – An easy way to keep up with AI research2023 · arxiv-feed.vercel.app · ▲32
Hey HN! I've always found it hard to keep up with the latest AI research, so I built Arxiv Feed! https://arxiv-feed.vercel.app/ It's basically a feed of AI research papers + a one-liner explaining what problem its solving, etc. You can also click on any paper to get a TL;DR. Right now, I've only indexed a few hundred large language model papers, but will expand to indexing AI papers in other topics. Thinking of also adding a way for people to up-vote/down-vote papers. Would love to hear any thoughts/feedback! :D Thanks!
aifeedMay 2026 · aifeed.dev · ▲10Hi HN! I built aifeed as a simple, real-time feed for AI-related links. It's meant for following new tools, articles and projects as they appear. You can also save interesting links to your favorites so they don't get lost. Submissions are community-driven, with light moderation and a small fee to reduce spam. Happy to hear any feedback.

Hello my name is Ben Ward for the past 3 years I have been remastering the financial game Wall Street Raider created by Michael Jenkins originally on DOS in 1986. It has been a rough journey but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just recently redid the website and thought maybe the full story of how this project came to be would interest you all. Thank you for reading.
