Internet Connection Monitor

Test and troubleshoot your Internet connectivity

Internet Connection Monitor launched on September 20, 2024 with 7 votes, #1,891 of 5,281 launches that month. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.

What it does

Got issues with Internet connectivity, dropouts, high ping, etc? Record and analyze outages, track uptime and downtime statistics, show your public IP and ping, verify ISP/provider issues, and verify some router/modem/hardware issues with ICM.

Internet Connection Monitor — Google Chrome extension for monitoring and testing Internet connectivity. Record connection log and send to your ISP

Excellent extension. Does exactly what I need and very simple. I have a Starlink connection that has intermittent dropouts and it's important to be able to know when it happens (the sound setting is a must for me) and also to be able to see if it's just a slow page load or a connection issue. Thanks for your help in revealing, objectively, how bad my ISP is. The graphics in the statistics are clear to understand. Somewhere recently the connection log added a third column show the duration of the status. That was a nice upgrade as I used to export the data and drop it in a spread sheet to calculate the duration. Now the data can be used as is. Works great so far. Thanks a lot. Very helpful.…from internetmon.org

Howdy HN! I find myself testing my ping from time to time, especially when my internet seems wonky while WFH. It feels like there should be an easier way test my ping than puling up a terminal or a complex web app - especially when I'm on my phone or any other device that doesn't have a terminal. I figured I should be the change I wish to see in the world and created this super light ping test. I also created a latency monitoring solution (https://github.com/cjjeakle/network-monitor), feel free to clone and try it out! I know there are a lot more mature monitoring…
