In plain words
Teleconsole is a free tool that converts a laptop into a secure, publicly accessible SSH server using GitHub SSH keys for authentication. Developers can invite colleagues to remotely access their machine for collaborative debugging sessions across different networks and NAT environments without manual configuration. It's designed for distributed teams needing quick, secure access to machines in various locations.

Wouldn't it be great to allow a fellow developer to quickly and securely SSH into your laptop when you're in the middle of a debugging session even if you are on two separate networks behind NAT? A few months ago we released a free tool, Teleconsole , we built so we could do exactly that. We are a distributed team, with bare metal servers sitting in our San Francisco office, several AWS and Azure regions and a bunch of customer environments we are sometimes asked to jump into. This is how we invite each other to any server or laptop. It works behind most firewalls without messing around with VPNs. This is great but it also means that anybody with this session ID can now join your session.…from gravitational.com

Hi HN! I built KeyPub.sh to solve the problem of user verification for CLI applications. It's essentially OAuth for the terminal, but using SSH keys that developers and users already have. - No installation needed - works with existing SSH setup - Privacy-focused: users control what email info is shared - Simple email verification process - Free public service - Perfect for CLI app developers who don't want to build user verification Try it with: `$ ssh keypub.sh about` Source code: https://github.com/skariel/keypub

Ts-SSH – SSH over Tailscale without running the daemon2025 · github.com · ▲103ts-ssh solves a specific problem: accessing machines on your Tailnet from environments where you can't install the full Tailscale daemon (like CI/CD runners or restricted systems). It uses Tailscale's tsnet library to establish userspace connectivity, then provides a standard SSH experience. Works with existing workflows since it supports normal SSH features like ProxyCommand, key auth, and terminal handling. Some features that proved useful: • Parallel command execution across multiple hosts • Built-in tmux session management for multi-host work • SCP-style file transfers • Works on…

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
