Low quality version of what we have at Lynceus jobs - trylynceus/jobs
What it does
258,795 open roles at 7,984 companies , 45,346 of them remote. Read from each employer's own careers page and job feed — never reposted from another board. Search it conversationally at trylynceus.com — describe what you want in plain English and get the companies actually hiring for it. In private beta; early access from the same page. The data files carry the most recent slice rather than all 258,795 roles. The full set is ~38MB, which GitHub will not render and which would add a new multi-megabyte blob to this repository every day. The complete index is on Hugging Face: Lynceus/jobs — every open role, with a browsable table and load_dataset support. The live search is at trylynceus.com .…from github.com

When we are looking for remote jobs we generally browse job postings in remote job boards. In doing so we miss some opportunities which are not posted in those job boards. So if you are actively looking for a remote job you should also checkout career pages of companies which recruit remote talent. I have compiled a list of such companies and tagged each company with remote locations they are hiring for. Those who are looking for remote job do checkout this page. https://remotejobhuntbuddy.com/blog/remote-companies-list-a-to-c.html

Hey we are Computable. We spent years building trading infrastructure at Jump Trading and Coinbase. From that point of view, compute looks like energy markets before 2000: everything trades through private bilateral leases, there’s no visible price, and nothing can be resold. The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
